Urea-ES
. . . a mixture between Urea and elemental sulphur.
--> the ideal combination of a sulphur nutrient with the widely available urea fertilizer
Why does Urea-ES help boost crop yields?
The increased use of sulfur-free fertilizers, intensified cropping systems and reduced sulfur dioxide emissions have resulted in a soil-sulfur deficit which adversely affects crop productivity worldwide. In 2015 experts estimated that 10 million tons of sulfur needed to be added to soil to address this sulfur nutrient deficiency and increase crop yields.
Urea granules are an ideal carrier for sulfur.
Urea-ES offers
a high oxidation rate in the soil and availability for plant nutrition at the right time of the growing phase
an easily adjustable sulphur content (up to 20wt%)
an easily handled and stored product which is fully compatible to urease inhibitor coatings
Urea-ES is an excellent opportunity to diversify product portfolio with a competitive high quality product which increases plant growth, improves soil conditions and generates additional yields. These additional yields will help to overcome increasing global food shortage.
How can Urea-ES be produced?
A simple plant modification enables the integration of the Urea-ES production route into an existing UFT® Fluid Bed Granulation Plant or into a new plant right from the beginning.
By integrating the Shell Thiogro® technology into our UFT® Fluid Bed Granulation process micro-particles of elemental sulfur can be included into urea to form Urea-ES granules.
What do you get?
